This year we are monitoring attendance more closely because we know consistent attendance is a key factor in student success. When your child is absent, we will ask for the reason, whether due to illness, an appointment, or another circumstance.
If we notice a pattern of unexcused absences, we will reach out to meet with you so we can work together to support your child. Please know these steps are in place with your child’s best interest in mind. Regular attendance builds strong habits, helps students stay on track academically, and ensures they have the best opportunities to learn and grow.

We have an added session now updated in our program for Parent and Student University, Breaking the Stigma: Stress, Mental Health, and Routines for Well-Being. This will be a four-part series. Participants that attend three sessions this year will receive a certificate of completion from UIUC. Due to the overwhelming interest from the University of Illinois, we will offer 30 minute sessions for all presentations to allow participants to experience a variety of topics at our first session on August 26th.

We have so many fun and engaging Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math (STEAM) activities for PK-12 students planned.

As a reminder, tomorrow is the first day of school for grades 1–12 with an 11:15 a.m. dismissal. Kindergarten will begin on Monday, August 18th.
