Elementary/Jr High Announcements:

  1. JH Girls Basketball 7th Grade Regional results:  7th grade girls lost last night ending their season. Thank you to everyone who came out to support them this year. 
  2. The 8th Grade Girls Basketball Regional play will begin on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Holy Cross as Heritage will play Danville Schlarman at 5:00 PM. Coach Wilson will be driving the Activity Van and will announce departure times. Good luck!
  3. JH Boys Basketball game again TODAY, November 22, 2022 against Mary Miller JH in Georgetown at 6:00PM. The bus will leave from Broadlands at 4:30 PM and from Homer at 4:45 PM. Good luck!
  4. For any K-5th grade student interested in playing either Basketball or doing Cheerleading, the Homer Sports Commission is offering sign-ups. Registration ends on December 3, 2022. For further information please contact the Homer Sports Commission on Facebook or by emailing: homersportscommission@gmail.com.
  5. Heritage students are currently collecting for the annual Food and Toy Drive for our communities. Please feel free to contribute as you can to various boxes that have been placed around the Heritage Elementary/JH School building. All items will be collected on Friday, December 9, 2022. Thank you for caring and sharing this holiday season!
  6. 2022-2023 Elementary/JH Yearbook order forms are now available for anyone interested in ordering a Yearbook.  You may order online here. You may also follow the same link to submit any Junior High/Elementary school event photos. Click on the "Yearbook Snap", type in access code "2022-2023", and follow the directions to upload.


  • Please be patient as we have recently switched school database systems. We are now using TeacherEase.  If you are unable to access your child’s account please contact the office for a paper copy.
  • NO vehicles are permitted in the circle drive where buses drop off in the morning or afternoon and you must stay in your car when dropping off in the drop off lane. 
  • If sending in snacks or treats for a class, please remember no home-baked goods can be shared.  All items must be pre-packaged and in store box containers.
  • If your student will be gone for a doctor’s appointment, please have him/her bring a note from the doctor upon returning to school to show that they were there.  Otherwise the absence will be marked unexcused by the school.
  • Please remember that there is NO SMOKING/VAPING on school grounds, and that seat belts should be fastened properly around children as they are being picked up or dropped off on school property.
  • Please remember to discuss with your student as to whether or not he/she will be eating breakfast/lunch that is offered at the school this year.  Menus are available as needed.
  • If you are needing to pick up or drop anything off to a student or staff member in the building, please make sure to call and make arrangements with office staff prior to doing so.

High School Announcements:

  1. FCCLA will be collecting grocery bags for a service project. If you have some you would like to donate, please bring them to the HS.
  2. The Heritage Food Drive is going on at the elementary, junior high and high school. Bring in canned goods to help support those in need in our community.


  • Lunch Reminder: Lunches at the HS are now $2.60 per lunch. HS lunches must be paid via cash or check at the school office. You may just send it in with your student to drop it off. Please DO NOT enter payments for HS lunches via My SchoolBucks. Thank you!
