Heritage CUSD #8 is seeking a Full-time Bus Route Driver which includes regular ballgame and event driving for increased pay opportunities. This is an IMRF position, salary and benefits information below.
Bus Driver for Full-time Bus Route within district each AM and PM School Day plus opportunities for extra runs that can substantially raise total pay
Also includes Single Paid Health Care Coverage Blue Cross Blue Shield
Duties driving a morning and afternoon bus route on all school days plus opportunity to earn substantial extra run pay including for field trips, ball games and other school activities that require transportation
Hours approx. 6:30-8:30am morning and 2:30-4:30 afternoon runs plus extra runs which may include Saturdays
Salary $19143 for AM & PM bus routes plus hourly rates for all other runs. Optional extra routes for sports, activities, field trips, special routes, will also be available to qualified applicant.
IERMP Single Health Care Coverage through IERMP Blue Cross Blue Shield 95% paid plus family and depending health, vision, dental, and other coverages available for monthly expense
A CDL and bus driver license is required for the position, the school district will fund and assist with training for qualified applicants
A recent physical will also be required, which can also be funded by the school district

Heritage CUSD #8 is seeking a School Nurse to serve Heritage District students in Grades K-12, full-time during school year. This is an IMRF position, salary and benefits information below.
Duties: To coordinate a comprehensive school health program including delivery of services to students and staff members in order to enhance health and wellness in the school community. Duties are to be performed in accordance with standards of professional school nurse practice, district/state board of education policies and procedures and Illinois States law regarding nursing practice.
Qualifications: Illinois Professional Educators License with School Nurse endorsement or Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois and current CPR program completion., Illinois Certification as a Vision and Hearing Screening technician preferred. Computer literacy and competency in use of existing technology. Prior professional nursing experience, preferably pediatric, adolescent, community or mental health nursing, and health program management preferred.
Anticipated Salary/Hours: Salary will be determined with placement on the Heritage Certified Support Staff Salary Schedule although final amount is negotiable given experience and licensing under current union contract. This is an hourly position full-time during school year and some dates prior to school year and also paid days when attending school institute days and/or performing school trainings such as CPR and Bloodborne Pathogens. Nurse is housed at Heritage Junior High & Elementary School in Homer with paid travel as needed for occasional high school duties in Broadlands.
Benefits: School district pays 95% of monthly premium for single user, Blue Cross Blue Shield IERMP current provider. Spouse and family coverage available but will require monthly payroll deduction. Vision, Dental, and Life insurance also available at minimal costs for coverage.
